These are very rare and seldom-found 1900s railroad Engineer Protective Glasses. Frame is stamped “Patent 2-27-1922”. Lenses are thick glass with side metal mesh on outside to protect railroad engineer eyes from soot and burning cinders of steam coal driven engine. Per book “Early American Specs” by Dr. Bronson, these are described and displayed. These 85+ years old railroad engineer Glasses are in very good condition. They belong with a serious collector or in a museum.
