This is a beautiful highly detailed reproduction of the famous Confederate 1850 Civil War Officer’s Pistol with Brass Frame, detailed blued metal barrel and wood handle made to exact specifications (It is non-firing and for display only). It is new in box (NIB). This treasure had a percussion six-shot (cap & ball) that was a favorite of the period. Makers were Griswold & Gunnison near Macon, Georgia and manufactured for only a few years from 1850 to 1860. History preserves this weapon was one of the best close combat weapons that a rare few confederate officers holstered. It was a powerful weapon of its time. Detailed Features are in high detail and it looks exactly like the original. Length is 14” and weighs a hefty 3 pounds. This rare treasure will highlight any collection of 150-year-old historical Civil War Pistols.
