This is a beautiful Dental Tooth Key with Ivory or Bone handle for removing teeth. Per Carter’s Book on Dental Antiques, this dates 1850s to 1870s. The handle has hand carved intricate designs and seldom found round ball top cap. Note the accented patina grains in handle. This rare Tooth Key is in very good condition for 150+ years. It is made of non plated steel that tapers to the Dog Legged design. The business end uses a tooth key with a single prong tooth grip. Size 4.5” in length x 3.5” handle width. This 150+ year old treasure is in beautiful condition and will make a great addition to any Antique Dental collection.
