This is a seldom found Richardson’s quack cure all battery pendant. These were advertised to cure nearly any medical ailment when worn around neck or placed on medical malady. It appears to have been miss-stamped, as center heart shape of pendant is faintly stamped Magneto Battery Galvanic with Patented Feb 9, 1881. Other side of heart has NOT been stamped as most all others were stamped on both sides. A more common competitor was by Boyd’s Battery and the two competed with their magic electrical disc pulses that when worn would cure any disease. This may be an early model Richardson’s Battery Pendent due to error in stamping. Richardson’s batteries are seldom found. Size is 1.5” diameter. This rare treasure will highlight any collection of quackery medicine from 130+ years ago.
