This amazing medical device is called the “The Morse Electric Belt” advertised to cure nearly most any medical ailments in the late 1800s. It is in the original cardboard box and appears to have never been used. This bizarre device was made by The Electric Appliance Company and invented by Prof. Wingren. Another manufacture of these quack electric belts was by Dr. Sanden's. These quack Electrical Belt’s are very rare and seldom found. This bizarre medical quack belt instrument is in very good condition from 100+ years ago. They were advertised to have amazing powers to cure nearly any medical problem. These Cure All Electric Belts were advertised to cure Sexual Dysfunction, Rheumatism, Liver, Kidneys, Stomach and all Nervous Diseases and many more ailments”. This Electric Belt is enclosed in red felt and ornate woven cloth with brass and steel “electrode battery discs”. When the patient wore this device, impotency and of course many other medical problems would be resolved. These Cure All Belts were advertised that internal secret batteries were to be sprinkled in with a “special powder” and immersed in a solution of vinegar and water for 15 minutes to activate. You would then attach the belt around waist and all personal medical problems would be cured: “Nervous Debility, Impotency, Loss of Physical, Mental or Sexual Power, Stomach, bladder and kidney troubles, constipation and weakness of every medical problem. Size is 28”in length x 2” widths and a 12” strap. There is a string (about 16) magic internal battery electrical activators that feed to several round discs that touched user’s body and begin cure. The secret ingredient powder was usually simple baking powder that when submersed in water or vinegar would provide a tingling sensation. Again, these Electric Belts were the highlight to self-curing medical aliments and seldom found. It is in very good condition. This truly is a very rare 100+ year old medical item that is the highlight to any medical collection.
