This is a very RARE 1960s Univac Computer Console that has been professionally framed. This 40+-year-old treasure is from an era when computer programming, debugging and operation were done with dials, switches and lights. It has 14 dials, 7 switches and 30 lights. Front dials are labeled Start Address, Stop Address for Hexadecimal settings (0-9, A, B, C, D, E, F), Register Select, Address History, Mode Select, Run, Single Step, In-Line, CE and many more. It is in very good condition with all components in exceptional condition for display. The cost of these machines during this era was well over $ 100,000 – $1,000,000. Size is 27” x 10” x 3”. Weight 12 lbs. Before framing, backside provenance notes are “Univac 5039 Part No. 87006375-1; Mod. 04-096 and a date of 5-67”. There is also a number 76006086-2; E4103. Research with Univac archive historians and an actual Univac retired CE believe this is a Disk Computer Controller Console Panel Model 5039 made in the 1960s by Univac for the 90/60 and 90/70 or 9200 & 9300 series computers (both announced in 1967 before the model 9400). This is truly a rare piece of Computing History that belongs in a museum or with a serious & professional collector.
