This is an original 1954 IBM 604 “Manual of Operation” for the 604 Electronic Calculating Punch. It has 85 pages of highly technical and detail operations to program this amazing machine from 52+ years ago. The 604 is one of the first machines to use IBM’s revolutionary “Pluggable Units” electronics on bottom and vacuum tube on top. Included with this very rare and seldom found manual is an original IBM 604 Pluggable Unit with original advertisement. Copyrights inside manual are 1948 and 1954 by IBM. A few of the Table of Content Chapters are “Operating Principles”, Principles of Control Panel Wiring, Simultaneous Multiplication and Division, Summary Punching, Indicator Lamp Panel, Timing Chart and many more. In our many years of collecting computer antiquities, this is the first manual on IBM’s most advanced computer of the 1950s we’ve found. Manual is in good condition. Size is 11” x 8.5”; Ad size is 10” x 7”. Again, included with very rare manual is an original IBM “Pluggable Unit” and original IBM advertisement. It is truly a combination of three, 3, treasures and it will highlight any collection of computer memorabilia.
