1970s Heathkit ET-3400 Beige Computer Antique

This is a 1970s Heathkit – Zenith Microcomputer Learning System model ET-3400 (Before the PC).  It is in the seldom found Beige color (most offered are the common Blue color).  History preserves the seldom found Beige model was offered outside USA and the common model was offered only to USA.  It powers up and displays “CPU UP”.  It was designed to educate the student of internal computer hardware & software components by self-assembly and programming the machine in Assembler Language.  These rare treasures were used at Universities in the 1970s to teach principles of computers and programming.  The machine is in very good condition.  We are not certain if it is still fully operational, but when plugged in red LED readout lights up with “CPU UP”.  It uses a Motorola 6808 CPU.   Results are displayed in hexadecimal on 6 LED lights.  Specifications read: CPU is 8 bit parallel NMOS bus oriented 6808; ROM is NMOS of 1024 bytes; RAM is NMOS of 512 bytes; Clock Speed is 1 MHz (An incredible speed of 25+ years ago).  Size is 12” x 12” x 4”, weight 9 lbs.  No books.  These machines are rarely found and belong in a museum or with a serious collector of old computing machines.
