In 1955 IBM introduced two powerful computers called the 704 & 705 priced at a quarter to half a million dollars each. This is IBM’s double sided advertising card with actual piece of magnetic tape. Portion of the publicity was one inch of this tape contains 200 characters. 15,000 characters can be read or written in one second. The card shows the Ogden Air Materiel Command’s 705 computer installation with advertising bullets (i.e. More extensive, accurate, timely data for management……). Card size is 7.5” x 3.25”. Magnetic Tape is 6” length x .50” width. This is a rare piece of computer memorabilia from nearly 60 years ago.
