This is The Lightning Calculator and was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan with bottom stamped Dec, 4 1947. Stylus may not be original, but operates the machine very well. It operates with all tens, 10s, carry over. Size is 12” x 2.50”. More provenance notes are that machine was first made by Bonham & Schram in Chicago. They changed the name in 1905 to Lightning and 1st machines did not have a base. This will highlight any collection of 100+ year old calculators.
