These are 1918 Electric Eye Spectacles to in original box.  Most likely they were used for hands free repair and protect eyes.  They were made by the LAADT Corporation.  There is a center light bulb and by battery pack with a string cord to fasten spectacles in place.  Battery pack is unique for the 1918 period, drained and not certain what type batteries it uses.  Box is rough and has directions for use.  Glasses are 8” x 3”.
