This calculator was designed by C. H. Webb in Wood Base with serial number B5166 and patented in 1868.  Seldom found and one of his first machines Webb produced.  These original wood base calculators came in three, 3, models called the A, B and C models.  Wood base calculators were produced for only a few years and later models were all metal with several variations and produced by Webb and other manufactures.  Stylus is not original, but operates machine very well.  It is in very good display and operational condition and stamped C.H. Webb N.Y; The Adder Patented March 10, 1868.  Machine is operational and increments 100s carry over.  Size is 7” length by 5” wide.
